FAQ

What is the M2H IoT platform?

The M2H IoT platform isn't a standard market product. We're not coming only with cloud or mobile/web/desktop solution nor with HW installation. We're actively combining all of these aspects into one single running system, capable of connecting hundreds of millions of devices and run them actively.

Does it really work? Has it been proven?

Yes, it does. It's not science fiction, it's a reality of today. We have gone outside the laboratory and immediately tested it on real subjects. Jablotron Alarms and Husky central-vacuum cleaners are the best proof of this.

How can my company sign up for this?

It's actually very easy. Please fill in the contact form with your details and we'll get back to you. Together with it, if you have additional questions, please feel free to contact our CBDO (Chief Business Development Officer) directly and he will help you moving forward.

Is it intended for end-users or companies only?

There are two sides of the coin.

Firstly, this product, on the development side, is intended for companies that are actual product vendors. M2H is working with them by upgrading their products by using our magic. It depends what kind of product they have. They could be having a classical product, not intended for IoT, and this is where we approach with the M2H CONNECTOR. On the other hand, we have companies that are already working on IoT, however they miss that final piece to actually hook up with the IoT network. That's why we bring our communication module via M2H IoT FUSION to save the day. Finally, many companies are following trends and are already IoT compatible. That's the easiest approach with our M2H AIR. Simple cloud-2-cloud connection uploads companies onto the M2H IoT platform and their clients are ready to use it.

Secondly, there are end users who will actually work with the platform. Never again will you  be required to buy a lot of small connectors or HW that states it can control your home/office/building simply by plugging into electricity socket. With M2H, you'll buy products in the store as you used to. However, the difference will be that those products featuring the M2H logo will be recognized as "IoT functional" and, after purchase, will only require turning on in your home/office. The rest is upon us.

What is the difference in the approach, since you're not going straightforward to the end users?

The approach, as mentioned in the previous question, is that we are targetting vendors to upgrade their products. The absolute goal is to approach end users and make their lives easier for them to manage. Our slogan states "Simplify Your life", therefore feel free to do it.

How is my company's R&D influenced?

It’s not. You're always working on product improvement and discovering new products, together with identification of the new markets. We're stepping in to influence only a piece of it, more precisely work on IoT and everything around it. We may even save some of your investment and you'll be able to push this towards others R&D products.

Would you consider yourselves as being better than your competitors?

In fact, we're not even mentioning this. Having competitors is a good thing, meaning that the market is validated as existing. On top of this, we don't even want to take the market from our competitors, but actually to even help them with their already existing clients. At the end of the day, we have to work with our competitors to satisfy all of the clients, since without them, there wouldn't be anyone to believe in IoT and move technology forward.

Why do you think IoT is even necessary? Does it have a validated market?

Yes, IoT has a validated market and there are many predictions regarding market growth, which we won't deal with now. Rather, IoT is a step forward in the world's technology. Suddenly, everyone is talking about "Industry 4.0", where IoT is a flag-bearer. For more than 100 years people have been dreaming of Smart Home/Office/Buildings/Industry, and finally we can do it. At the end of the day, you simply have to try it to believe it.

I don't trust IoT due to recent hacks. How can I be safe?

We weren't surprised. It was in fact expected. One of the first things we've done is to prepare security in a such manner and to validate it with ISO:27001 security standard. Recent attacks, buzzing all over internet, have proved that the security is an absolute essential for IoT. We're building our systems with this in mind, preventing "zombie" product behavior, default passwords, clean-and-easy hack attack etc, while having in mind your own security.

What ensures that M2H Cloud is as strong as stated? Isn't the cloud used for storage?

Why do we distinguish between the Cloud and IoT Cloud? It is because we know the difference between a device and an embedded device. The infrastructure we use is completely our own architecture which has been intensively built over many years with a special focus on secure IoT applications. We know how to face issues such as constant connection of low power devices, secure device enrollment etc.
